Safety shoes have a strict service life. If the service life of safety shoes is exceeded, the protective effect of the safety shoes may be affected, especially anti-static safety shoes.

1. The labor protection shoes produced by regular safety shoe manufacturers need to meet national standards and the national three-guarantee policy. Problems such as broken soles are guaranteed to be replaced within three months. Problems such as debonding are guaranteed to be repaired. However, some safety shoe manufacturers cut corners and do not meet national standards, and they cannot be used for 3 months at all. When purchasing safety shoes, you can ask the manufacturer to produce a quality inspection report.

2. The soles and uppers of safety shoes affect the service life. The uppers are made of genuine leather and have a longer service life, but the corresponding cost is also higher. The mesh surface has a relatively short service life because the wrapping is not as good as the leather surface. The sole is made of polyurethane (PU), and the service life is not as good as rubber in the same environment. Safety shoes with polyurethane soles have relatively higher requirements for the environment. If polyurethane is used in harsh environments, the service life will be further reduced. Qualified rubber soles are difficult to break during the basic service life. It is recommended that units with conditions replace safety shoes every six months.

3. Work intensity and working environment will also affect the service life of safety shoes. For working environments that are more complex, such as steel mills, metallurgical plants, chemical plants, electroplating workshops, shipyards, etc., better and newer safety shoes are generally needed every six months. For example, in the north, cotton safety shoes are needed in winter, and the spring and summer models are different from the autumn and winter models.

4. Insulated shoes and anti-static shoes, because the soles need to add special chemical sheets, and the anti-static ability is not constant, enterprises must strictly abide by the inspection time of the state and the unit, conduct regular inspections (generally once a month), and replace them in time. If the working environment is subject to acid and alkali corrosion, labor protection shoes are generally replaced every 3 months. Acid and alkali environments are more harmful to safety shoes and are prone to the risk of broken soles and ruptures. (In acid and alkali environments, polyurethane PU soles are not recommended)
